It took a while, but we finally got a winner for our ROCK OF AGES Playbill contest. Here's the winning entry from Danielle S. of NJ....

I'd like to tell you why I deserve this playbill. I have only been a fan of Jeremy's since last October when I saw him in Newsies at the Papermill Playhouse. I am sorry I didn't know about him before. When I saw him perform I knew I had to get his autograph after the show. I had read his bio in my playbill and said to my mom, he is going to be a huge star! Just his presence on the stage and his voice, I was blown away. His talent was so unique! I had gone to the stage door and waited for him to come out. He signed my playbill and I couldn't believe how nice and patient he was with all the teen-age girls surrounding him. That was the first time I got to meet him. 

I have always loved theatre but have grown very passionate for it this past year. Once I saw him in Newsies I had to see him in Bonnie and Clyde. My parents had surprised me for my Birthday with tickets to see it just two days before it closed. I was beyond happy. Once there was confirmation that he would be in Newsies on Broadway I was so excited and had to see him in it again. All of my family and friends know how much of an inspiration he is to me. However, my friends thought I was crazy until I took my best friend with me to see him in Newsies and being a huge Broadway fan she saw how much talent he had. 

When I met him for a third time I still couldn't believe how sweet he was to his fans having all of this success this year. I told him how much of an inspiration he was to me. There is something so comforting and special when stars act that way to their fans. I think that is why I have grown to love Broadway so much and also because of the amount of talent that is in that small theatre. Every time I enter a theatre I am overwhelmed with joy and excitement. I look forward to every show I see. 

Jeremy really has become an inspiration to me. I wrote him a letter telling him that, and explaining that I am not a musical theatre major, I am an art education major at a local college who loves theatre as much as she loves visual fine arts. He sent me back a signed "Jack" trading card and he also signed the picture I took with him after Bonnie and Clyde. I was so pleased that he took the time to read my letter and sign both of those things for me. 

Seeing him perform has made me have more confidence in myself to continue on with my dream of being an artist. Who knows, maybe some day it will lead me to being involved with musical theatre some how. 

I have a Broadway collection of playbills including ones from Papermill Playhouse too. My playbills are one of my prized possessions. Because I wasn't able to see Jeremy in Rock of Ages on Broadway, having this playbill would mean the world to me. I recently got to see Rock of Ages on Broadway with Ashley Spencer in it. It is such an unbelievable show. As I mentioned above, I would really love to get this playbill because it would mean a lot to me.

We apologize for the lack of updates. Jeremy is busy filming SMASH so there isn't much to report on so I thought it would be fun to have a contest!

EXTRA! EXTRA! Jeremy will be out of NEWSIES September 6-16 for his wedding to the gorgeous Ashley Spencer (who you should all catch in ROCK OF AGES). Again, Jeremy will also be missing some shows when Smash starts filming in mid-July.

Tonight Jeremy performed with Laura Osnes at her Cafe Carlyle concert. They sang "This Never Happened Before" from BONNIE & CLYDE and also a very cute version of "Anything You Can Do (I Can Do Better)." The CD of the concert will be released in September, I'm not sure if both songs will be on it or not. Once I get more information, I will let everyone know.

I apologize for the lack of updates over the past few days, but wow, what big news we got today!!!

Incase you haven't heard. Jeremy will be a regular on season 2 of SMASH on NBC. He will play "a very sexy (and straight) Brooklyn-born singer with a self-destructive streak." Don't worry, he will stay with NEWSIES!

The Lynne Show aired an interview with Jeremy on June 12. Incase you missed it, you can download it here. Please note this interview was recorded when Bonnie & Clyde was in Sarasota.

I also got my hands on a Tony program and I will be scanning the pages Jeremy is on and put those up on the site very soon so stay tuned!

What an exciting and busy day for Jeremy, there was a photo shoot on top of the Empire State building and then there was the Theatre World Awards! Congrats again Jeremy on your win! Well deserved! Oh and he was also added to the "In Performance" interactive feature on the NY Times website.

Want some NEWSIES limited edition trading cards? After each show, just go to the stage door and ask each of the cast for their trading card! Yes, it's that easy! The cast is only allowed to give a few per performance (and each actor only has 100 cards) so be sure to get to the front of the line. If you are not in NYC you can send a self-addressed stamped envelope to the theatre and you can get one that way.

Welcome to the new jeremy-jordan.com, it's now Jeremy's official fan site! There will be a lot of updates so bear with me. While I am going to keep everyone up-to-date, I am also going to go back to some of the early days of Jeremy's career.
